Not sure I'm connected or what I'm supposed to do.

We had an existing FaceBook page at: https://www.facebook.com/raschal.paschal?ref=tn_tnmn

Is this connectable? (Is that a word?)
Thanks,
Sue

Think of your class web site and the Class Connection Facebook app as the same thing. I.E. both use the exact same data. They look a bit different but each is a mirror of the other in terms of the data.

A Facebook Group is something you build separately on Facebook and has nothing to do with the Class Connection Facebook app.

Generally, there's a lot more functionality in the Class Connection Facebook app, and again it's always in synch with your class web site. Because the Class Connection app ties into the Facebook globe notification icon it becomes a seamless part of your daily Facebook experience.

I've seen Admins go a variety of ways on this:

1) Only use the Class Creator class web site (no Facebook at all)
2) Use the Class Creator class web site plus the Class Connection Facebook application
3) Use the Class Creator class web site plus the Class Connection Facebook application plus the Facebook Group
4) Use the Class Creator class web site and only the Facebook Group

How many places you want to have class activity going on is entirely up to you. Personally I'd turn on Class Connection and transition the Facebook Group classmates over to it, but in many cases the Facebook Group is very active and people are familiar with it, thus Admins don't want to turn it off. The choice is yours based on what best meets the needs of your class.
