We can probably add some stat info there as needed. Noted this and we'll come back to it, right now the new "Live Chat 2" is already underway with an interface that accommodates some of the things discussed here. My class had our first BIG chat meeting last night and it was SUPER! A bit chaotic with 15-20 people from 4 classes trying to communicate after 40 years...one of them equated it to being in our old school cafeteria again.. LOL. A question I have is...are there any/or will there be any stats available for chat sessions..how many attended? how long it ran? and what happens to all the chatter messaging? Is it saved somewhere - or does it die in cyberspace?? Just curious. You can see how many folks are logged in, click on it and it brings up those individuals who are currently on-line. Click on their name and you IM them. Keep up the GREAT work ..... The next thing coming out will be Photo Galleries/Community Photo Galleries. Instant messaging is a more significant undertaking than it probably sounds. Now that we have the polling mechanism we wrote for Live Chat, that same mechanism needs to work with every single page of your site. Basically it needs to be constantly checking who's logged in or not in order for Instant Messaging to work. Long story short, that's going to take some doing. With the upcoming Holidays I'm going to say January ETA for Instant Messaging. You want a forum just for ETAs? Why don't you have a spot somewhere in the Help Forums that gave the ETA when certain projects would be completed and ready to go. Something that you or your staff could update periodically and we would not have to ask you guys anymore and we could just go to that tab and check the ETA ourselves. Maybe even a bulletin board kind of format that you are so good at. There are different forums, for example "Report a Bug", "General Discussion", etc. Only the ADMIN can choose the forums that are in use. Then inside of these forums, people post questions or topics of conversation relating to the forum. This is done through "NEW TOPIC". Any classmate can create a new topic inside of the Forum. Then inside of the topic, classmates can REPLY to the topics in the discussion. I have also seen this described as BOOKS, CHAPTERS, and PAGES. The BOOKS are the different forums that only the ADMIN can select. The TOPICS are different chapters in the book. And the replies by classmates are the pages/paragraphs in the chapters of the book.
