FB does not allow regular http links for outside flash objects/widgets, videos or scripts. The symptom is that your countdown clock, video, rotating cube, map or dancing bear is no longer showing on your FB page.

This is a brief description for how to check to see if it's possible to fix your widget to show up on FB too. I'll give some examples, but if others find ones that also do not work please post here (or maybe a topic called FB widgets that do not work and another topic FB widgets that do work).

Go into source mode in the editor and find your widget. It will have things like object and for YouTube you'll see iframe if you are using the new format.

Find the http:// object reference link to the main site and paste this into a browser. Now add an s, making it https

Click the go or enter and see if the browser complains. If the site link opens complains, you can't use that object. If it works, then all you need to do is change the http to https

Here's a common one that will NOT work Paste into your browser and now add the s at the end and try again. That message you get means it won't work. (This is how the name should look )

Also most countdown clocks won't work or one picture cube I saw (there's more than one).

I'll try to post some more examples later.

Easy fix for YouTube - just add an s as shown

This countdown clock generator will not work
Photo Cube and other from here will not work

This is really excellent. Jack, thanks so much. FYI whenever this comes up in internal Support we'll link people right here to your post. Thank you.
