I am administrator for three sites. When I try to activate the Facebook connection for JacarandaIslander.com, save, and try to get to the Facebook connection using the link on the Preferences page, another of my sites, TheWildcatter.com shows up with the error message "This class is not available on Class Connection".

How do I make the connection for Jacaranda rather then Wildcatter?

Thanks,
Woody

Unfortunately, the Class Connection app only works with one school per email address. I believe that is the issue in this case.

Thanks for the response.

None of the web sites I manage have the Facebook Connection activated.

TheWildcatter.com
CHS61.net
JacarandaIslander.com

I do use the same email address for all three; but different passwords.

Why does the app try to load TheWildcatter.com?

Thanks,
Woody

I don't know that answer to that question. We don't have many scenarios like this to compare to. The system must be recognizing your email address somehow, possibly from trying to connect to it at one time when you did have the app turned on.

I have continued to try to activate JacarandaIslander.com with the Facebook Connection with no success. I have cleared the (IE 11) cache, closed and reopened IE, used a couple of different browsers, and changed email addresses - all without success.

Let me restate the problem:

I manage three sites. JacarandaIslander.com; TheWildcatter.com; CHS61.net.

I used the same email address on all three.
I use different passwords on each of them.

I am trying to activate only one of the sites on Facebook, JacarandaIslander.com

None of the three sites I manage have ever have been connected with the Facebook Connection.

In JacarandaIslander.com; I go to "Preferences" and select "Share with Class Connection Facebook application", Save, Reopen to Preferences, and click on the "apps.facebook.com" application I go to the Facebook App but the site comes up as "TheWildcatter.com" and tells me that the Wildcatter class is not available on Facebook.

Can you please help me activate "JacarandaIslander.com on Facebook before I pull what's remaining of my hair out! Sad

Checking to see if the programmers have any insight on this.

I thinks it's a "dual" name thing. Looks like it's listed under "The Villages" aka Villages but I don't know what year non-school class sites use, so can't check any further.

I'm not sure what you're asking, but....

Only one of the three sites has any direct connection with The Villages area, JacarandaIslander.com, and that is because of the address of the neighborhood.

However, all three have a domain registration address of The Villages.

I am not certain, but believe non-school sites use 1900 as the year.

I appreciate any help you can give me.

Any insight from the programmers? I'm still trying to get the Facebook Connection to work.

Thanks,

First day back so I'm sure you've been busy. When you get a chance would you see if you can solve this Facebook issue?

Thanks,
Woody

You mentioned that 1900 was the year used for non-class sites. FB Connection only goes back to 1905. Wonder if that was forgotten when they created the non-class sites?

Scott have you had a chance to look into this?

To restate:
I am administrator for three ClassCreator sites.

None of them are linked to Facebook.

I use the same email address but different passwords for each site.

I would like to link JacarandaIslander.com to Facebook.

When I try to do this from the "JacarandaIslander.com" Preferences" page, the "Wildcatter.com" site (Not JacarandaIslander.com) comes up in Facebook but tells me (correctly) that it is not linked.

Can you help me link JacarandaIslander.com to Facebook?

Scott, are you OK? I'm worried about you, you're usually so prompt with help with problems.

Woody, in addition to your forum post, have you sent Class Creator a private message or phoned them? This always results in a fast response for me: Your text to link here...

I sent a request for help to Class Creator on December 12th and haven't heard anything except that they received it.

Wonder what's going on? We normally get such good support from CC.

Try calling Class Creator at 734-585-5605, Monday - Friday between 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. EST. This week, I spoke with Scott Mastenbrook twice and got my difficulties straightened out.
