Notify Me for August 1, shows all classmates were sent Notifications today. However, zero classmates logged on today. I spoke with 5 classmates living in different locales. All confirmed they did not receive any Notifications today. This is most disturbing and never happened in the past. What’s going on?

They may have been generated late and arrived late.

Scott,
When a classmate has their 'Notify Me' settings to be alerted ONCE A DAY, is there a 'preset time' that the notice is sent out?
e.g. first thing the next morning, after midnight of the day the 'change' is made, etc?

This COULD be the reason some of our classmates have not received a notice of a new page I posted last night.

over the past week or so,
it has come to my attention
that bshs65 classmates are not receiving any email notifications.
as i said in another thread,
my notifications have always been, at best, spotty,
BUT, i feel that the lack of any notifications to classmates
is detrimental to participation on our site.
granted, i don't know exactly how many classmates are,
or, are not receiving notifications, but, i would like to know,
so, i plan on asking in an email to the class.
hopefully, classmates will receive the email and reply.
i thought other options might be posting a poll or survey.
any other suggestions?

Hi Michael,

There was an issue this past week with some of the platinum email processing. It was partially corrected throughout the week and fully resolved yesterday. I wouldn't base general email processing on this past week as the issue that was resolved yesterday was likely affecting your class based on what you mentioned above. We have been monitoring it all week and I can tell you from the monitoring yesterday and today that it is very much resolved and no further issues have occurred since yesterday afternoon.

See how it goes this week and let me know here if you are experiencing any ongoing issues.

as of ten minutes ago,
one classmate still has not received
any email notifications for about 6 weeks.
i will keep you posted if and when that changes.

That wouldn't be related to the item from this past week. What is their first name and the first initial of their last name so I can check into their issue further. You can email me their details at info@classcreator.com if you don't want to post any portion of their name on this public forum.

the classmate in question is Merry, S(maiden name), W
she lives in Germany.
last week, i added my gmail address to her profile
as an alternate to see if notifications are sent to her.
as of this early AM, she did not receive the latest notification,
but, i did through my profile at 03:45 PDT.(different email)
i, honestly, don't know if others are still missing out.
i plan on an email to the class in a few days,
asking classmates to report any issues.
of course, i will be hoping the emails will be delivered
and that classmates will reply...always an iffy proposition.

Hi Michael,

I checked your bounces and the full system bounces to see if her email address had bounced and it has not. Did she check her spam/junk folders? If her email was gmail I would have her check her promotions folders too as gmail randomly sends things there but her address looks more provider specific.

I would have her ask her provider how to make noreplay@billingssr65.com and noreply@classcreator.net approved senders to let them know she wishes to receive mail from those addresses. If it is not in her local spam/junk folder it might be in her providers, however, it would be standard for them to bounce the message if that was the case and I'm just not seeing anything bouncing back to us anywhere.

i asked her about her spam/junk folder,
she said it wasn't there.
i will pass on your contact her provider recommendation.
just so you know, today's birthday notification
was finally received at the gmail account 40 minutes ago.

i'll keep trying at this end
and let you know what's happening.

hello Jessica, i'm sorry to inform you,
Notify Me is NOT functioning properly.
all of my Notify Me settings are to Immediately
and i am subscribed to All Classmates.
there has been a lot of bshs65 activity today
and i have received absolutely no Notifications
to my primary email address, but, in fact,
have received one and it's duplicate
to a secondary gmail account.
i don't mean to be a pain,
but, this just doesn't seem to be the way it should be.

still no notifications to my primary email address.
the last was a classmate profile update monday at 1:02 PM

two or three were received by my secondary gmail account,
but these did not reflect half of the activity on the site.

as i said above, all of my Notify Me settings are at Immediately
and i am subscribed to All classmates.
personally, i visit the site numerous times daily,
so lack of notifications is not a personal problem.
but, i do use my notifications to gauge what classmates receive.
many of my classmates rely on email notifications
as a reminder to visit our site.
without notification, they mistakenly figure
there's nothing going on, so why bother visiting.
needless to say, i believe email notifications are essential to our site's activity
and believe resolution of the issue should be a top CC priority.

All classmate Notifications are essential. Classmates are not mind readers. Notifications are the life blood for websites.

it's friday night and i STILL have not received an email notification to my primary email since monday.
just for the halibut, i've sent three emails to the class to only myself to see if that's working.
i've received none of them at my primary or secondary accounts.
finally, i've tried the old invite a missing classmate trick
and was able to invite myself through both email accounts.
so, the question...what's up buttercup?
