I need to link to a PDF.
I click on the "Link" button, browse to the PDF on my computer, "Upload" and create the link.

However, when I just open the File Vault and try to upload a PDF I get the error message that the extension type is not allowed.

What I am trying to do is link and image on the Homepage to the PDF. My work-around is to enter text and link that.

BUT, why can't I just view the File Vault to see not only images but PDFs, and other file extension types.

Thank you,
Smile
Vanessa

It's confusing because, depending on what you're doing, there are two "File Vault" references. But you're on the right track.

One which you see when editing pages and uploading images is really an Image Vault where uploads are limited to only graphics. The other, when you use the Link button and click on Upload is used to upload non-graphics (like PDFs) to the real File Vault - and if you click the Link button and then click on the File Vault button it it gives you access to view both Files and Images in their respective Vaults.
