Classmate Searches and Search Engines, is something that is often overlooked (probably more so with less experienced CC site admins), is to establish as many "reciprocal links" as one can that are relevant. If your school has an Alumni Association website or the school itself has a website--ask them to put a link to your site and you do the same for theirs. Search engines (Google & Yahoo especially) give higher ratings for sites that have relevant reciprocal links than anything else.

Not just links, but also if you have a separate page that has a paragraph about the school, alumni association, town or some of the businesses in that town. Just be sure that those establishments have a link back to YOUR site as well. --Reciprocal links--
