Since we have reached that time in our life where our classmates are passing on with too much frequency I would like to import their obit and then send it to all the registered classmates. Is this possible and how?

Sure. You can go to e-mail the class and either include a link to the obituary or copy and paste it into the message. An alternative would be to post the obituary on the classmate's In Memory page and inform your registered members, once again via e-mail the class, that it can be viewed there.

Each classmate's IN MEMORY entry has a content editor where you can copy/paste the text of the obituary. You could paste the obituary there, then let your classmates know by emailing them that more information is available on the IN MEMORY page of the website. This might get more classmates visiting the website. To access the content editor on each classmate IN MEMORY page, do the following steps,

Adding obituary content to the content editor also causes the "Rose" icon to display on the Classmate Profiles page to indicate there are more details available when you visit the In Memory page.
