Is there a way to require that a classmate be logged in before they are able to read the forum? I know that we can put a password there, but we didn't really want to deal with that. We're hearing around town that non classmates are reading the forum. We'd like to prevent that. Thanks.

What do you mean by you don't really want to deal with that exactly? This is precisely what the password protection feature is for. Smile

It takes two seconds, maybe less to password protect it.
That is what we do on all of our sites since it should be private.

Okay...I get it...I was thinking to password protect it, I would have to let all the classmates know what the password is! But after closer reading, I see that it doesn't affect the logged in people.
So sorry and thanks for your help.

Teresa,
I think you may be thinking that you need to supply all your classmates with the password you set, but that's not true. Once they have an account, they'll be able to access that password protected page just by logging in.
Good luck!
Beth

Thanks, guys...it worked beautifully. But I do see that for classmates who have not signed up will need the password. But dummy that I am, I can't remember if our password is one thing or another thing. How can I find that out? Thanks. Teresa
