Is there anyway to place a check mark in the box for the profile visibility and they have to remove it if they want their profile visible. Most of my class have wanted theirs private and they either don't understand what the question or they just don't read that far.

This is a real catch 22 - if the admin wants to turn that on in advance then the classmate is unable to view the profile to join and therefore must contact the admin to get access to their profile.

Each classmate can choose to turn this on while they are completing their profile if they wish. It is less work for the administrator if you allow them to join and choose for themselves how they want to handle their profile.

If you have "Must Verify ALL Classmates" turned on, you could automatically check the "Profile Visibility" check-box at the same time when you check "Member has been verified." check-box.
