I have a policy on my site for those people who pay dues. but how will i know who pays? I was thinking a dollar sign might work, just like the camera or reunion icon.

I am not exactly sure what this means, but maybe the new "Classmate Notes" field can be used, with an entry of "Dues Paid=$50". This field is exported to the spreadsheet when you export your classmates.

Yes, I'd make the notation in your Classmate Notes field, good recommendation Kyle.
