forum emails without a subscription

I have forums with say 5 subscribers and some posts will have 150 views. Do forum posts go to all classmates? I have always thought that they went only to subscribers. I have seen responses to a post by a classmate who is not a subscriber.

Hi Jim, You likely have classmates to read the topics even if they don't participate. Users can follow the forums or individual posts. Each view of the topic creates another view so one individual returning would be a new view. Jessica

Thanks, Jessica, but when somebody posts on the forum is that post sent by email to ALL classmates, regardless of whether they are a subscriber or not?

No. If you mean the threaded forums they subscribe to those. If it is the message forum they have that option under their Notify Me under Member Functions. Jessica
