I have tried searching all the forums, but to no avail. Some classmates have a "Follow..." button next to their name at the top of their profile page, such as: Jim Smith Follow Jim I am unable to discover where or how that option can be turned on or off. Please advise Thanks!

Look under Notify Me/Profile Subscriptions. It can be controlled from the individual profiles also by clicking on it.

Hmmm. Let me put it this way: Some classmates have the "Follow..." next to their name, and some do not. F C Bock wrote: Look under Notify Me/Profile Subscriptions.

It appears the Follow does not show up if the individual does not allow comments to be posted to their profile. I don't know whether or not this precludes a notification from going to someone who has subscribed to their profile when an update is made.
