Cynthia, Integrated real time chat is under development. In the meantime many classes are using third party plugins such as Add On Chat. You can find links to those plug-ins at the following link - question 15.

I found Chatzy from another person in the forums. Go to www.chatzy.com, fill in the information (your name, name of the chatroom, email addresses of the folks you want to chat with etc) and send. Those folks get an email with a link that they click on, then they fill in their name and hit the Enter button and you are chatting! It's free, easy to use and it doesn't require you to put a link or anything within your site. If you and the reunion committee are the only ones using the chat, then those are the only folks who need to know about it.
