I'm really new & I really messed up: I had added a Welcome graphic to the top,but it was too big and interfered with Logging in & I managed to remove it. There were accidently 2 smiley faces prior to the "Welcome ..." message. When I tried to remove one - it removed it, but also the Welcome message, and the Countdown Clock ...leaving lines forming a box (with an x at top left corner) with the remaining smiley face b/4 the word: COUNTDOWN, that when clicked, takes you to the Countdown site. AND, somehow a small colored box appeared below a dog widget!

How can I get rid of the sm. & Lg. boxes & Countdown word, retore a "Welcome" message, and install a Countdown Clock?

Go back into edit mode and click the Source button in the upper left corner. Sounds like soume extraneous code was left in there and you'll just need to select that code in source view and delete it.

I sympathize with you as I just did the same kind of thing on my page. I still haven't learned code, so here's a little cheat that might help you too: In edit mode when looking at the design page, I type something like HEREHERE at the beginning and end of what I have to delete. Then I go into Source code and look for the HEREHEREs and delete anything between.

While I was trying to delete extra stuff, I made my countdown clock not work so I eliminated the remaining code and went back to the countdown site to get new code. I find it easier to just start over sometimes than try to fix what's there.
