I have not edited anything for awhile and now the home page music does not play and neither does the in memory page.

There must have been an update to the code at some point. I simply copied and pasted the code that is provided on the widgets page to your pages and it seems to work.

I don't think that was the question. As for my part I had music playing on the home page and now it's gone. This is the third time this has happened and I just gave up.

If you were using a third-party music player, such as playlist.com or mixpod.com, then the music may have stopped simply because they decided to change the way their system works. Typically, this would be because they have to pay to provide the music you were using, and embedding the players the way you were does not allow the advertisers who pay their bills to benefit. The music industry is dead set against anyone EVER having the opportunity to listen to music without someone paying for it every single time, so the availability of music on webpages will either be accompanied by advertising or it will go away, unless someone is providing it without paying for the privilege.

Why widgets go away? One reason is related to multiple administrators. Inadvertently one admin undoes what another one has placed. This area may be needed by the different admin. I have found my widgets moved to different locations on our site. One law helps prevent this dishevelment. The smaller the on screen player presence created in the widget the less chance of the widget being missed placed or removed.
