Can pdf files (photos and memorabilia documents) be uploaded onto a Class Creator website? If so, how?

Thanks Much, as always,

Jon

Yes, they can be uploaded to the File Vault, then a link can be created to point to the PDF file and the classmate will click the link to open up the PDF file. The contents of the file will then display to the classmate. There is not a way to have the left-side links directly open up the PDF file.

Here are the steps:
1. Open up a content editor (for the Home Page, do the following: Edit Site Pages, Edit Page for the Home Page, then scroll down to the content editor)
2. Type "Click here for the PDF file" or some other text
3. Select the "Click here..." text with the mouse or keyboard
4. Click the LINK icon (3rd from the right side on 2nd row of icons)
5. Browse your local hard drive for the PDF file and click UPLOAD
6. Save the link
7. Save the contents of the Home Page
8. Test the link to see if it works by clicking on the link.

Thanks, Kyle. As I "walked" through your steps in my mind, it sounded like the perfect way to go!

I'll give it a try tomorrow. I was thinking...and hoping that a link would be the key. You made my week. You are a genius!

Thanks so much!

Just have one more question, Kyle, before going to bed. Where will each classmate actually see the link posted---on the home page or in a square space of our PHOTO section entitled with the appropriate description?

Having the link with the other photos would be my ideal way to go, but I'm so grateful to have pdf's being uploaded, I won't be greedy! Hope I'm making some sort of sense at this late hour. You sound "sharp as a tack" now! Smile

Not a biggie, just wondering.

Thanks, Jon

When you selected the text, it is the selected text (or image) that becomes the link.

Tried the above but when I scroll down in edit page I do not find a "content editor"

Click "Edit site pages"
Find the page you want the link to be added to in the list of pages.
Move the mouse to the right, on the same line as the page you want to edit
Click the "Edit Page" button that appears
You should now see the editor window. This is the "content editor". If you don't see it, scroll the page down until you see the editor.
