I just entered an email address for a classmate for whom we have a street address. She lives in Canada and I couldn't "save changes" because the program didn't recognize the Zip code (it said it was invalid). I had to remove the code.
We do want to have the zip code show up as part of the address.
Thank you,

Joani Lesser

Hi Joani,

We have Canadian schools who have built sites on our system, so we do normally accept Canadian zip codes. Can you tell me on exactly which page and for which classmate you got the error? That will help us figure out just what happened and how to fix it.

Brenda Kowal Kovinsky, on the Manage Classmates page (enter/edit). The zip
code I had was N8N4K3. I removed it because it was the only way I could
"save changes" on the page. (I was probably correcting a typo)

The country was not selected, which is why the error popped up. The assumption is that if you haven't filled in the country, it is USA, for which only five-digit numeric values are valid.

Note that if you put in the State/Province value by uploading and didn't include the zip, when you go back and select the country, the State value may change. Please just take note of the province before setting the country if you encounter this again.

I entered this zip for you.
