Can someone explain the whitelist when it comes to receiving email from a Class Creator built site? Is this a PC/Outlook thing? Do people running a Mac have to worry about this concept? Thanks!

This is what the FAQs say about whitelisting FYI: "Whitelist" is the general term for allowing an email to come through from a specific email address every time, regardless of the content contained within the email. Whitelist is also sometimes referred to as a "Safe List" or an "Approved Senders List." If you and your Classmates whitelist noreply@classcreator.net, messages that may not ordinarily get through will now be received and read every time. Please note the Class Creator system does not send spam mail of any kind to your Classmates. And when we email you directly, the Site Administrators, we will only send you messages we think are important to the business of running your class web site. Thus you and your Classmates can whitelist noreply@classcreator.net with confidence that spam email will never be sent by us. Taking these measures will help ensure that all Classmates participating in your site can freely communicate without losing legitimate messages to spam filtering technology.

What is the process for whitelisting? I have some classmates who's email addresses have no problem receiving mail from ny personal email but bounces back each time from the website emails. Thanks

Hi Judith, The process is specific to the email software the user uses and the company that provides their email service. First they need to find the junk mail settings in their email software and set them to allow messages from noreply@classcreator.net. Then, they need to log into their account with the email provider (usually there is a webmail service for the mail account that is hosted by the provider), and make sure the junk mail settings there are set to allow messages from noreply@classcreator.net. How to do that in each respect depends entirely upon the software.
