EVEN THOUGH I HAVE DE-ACTIVATED ANNOUNCEMENTS , ALUMNI KEEP GETTING EMAILS WITH THOSE ANNOUNCEMENTS, PROBABLY ONCE A WEEK... I DID NOT WANT TO DELETE THEM, BUT THEY KEEP REPEATING ....ANY ANSWER OR PROCEDURE WOULD BE HELPFUL....ML

Do any of those announcements have start/end dates? If so, you can manually deactivate one where today is later than the start date and less than the end date (if any), but the system will automatically reactivate that announcement since the start date is earlier than today.
