I searched the forum but couldn't find information: How does one change the color of the center panel of a class web site? Also can the headline text color be changed?

I'm guessing the color of the center panel of the home page is fixed as white, just like the center panel on any page. Most sites have some text/photos in it. The absence of text/photos on your home page may be why it seems annoying to have so much white space. Why not add a photo or some text there?

In the template you are using, the white background color cannot be changed. You could opt for the Responsive Template to achieve this goal.
