I created a poll, and it is on my homepage, but it automatically has two answers populated, and does not show a way to actually answer the question, it only shows results?

That's correct. The minute you or one of your Classmates completes that poll, the view immediately switches over to Live Poll Results. Anybody who hasn't yet taken the poll still sees the poll and has the opportunity to respond. Anybody who has already responded to the poll sees the live results that are coming in from Classmates voting after them. That's what makes it fun -- people who have already voted can watch the results as they come in, in real time.

Do Poll results show as pie charts in any way? I thought I read about that somewhere before. Thanks

Yup, but only once you have 2 or more answers. Until you get answer #2, there is nothing to pie.
