Hey ... When someone searches for my website, the Home Page will pop up and they can click on Classmate Profiles and it shows a list of the classmates. Can the Home Page be password protected when someone comes across the website?

Another option might be to restrict the profiles page. If you choose to do so you'll get the attached cautionary message.

Our class chooses not to have any pages password protected. We want classmates and those related to our class to easily find our site, and see what the site is like before they join. We feel privacy and security is sufficient with this arrangement, because only administrators are able to see sensitive contact info in a classmate's profile, and classmates are able to lock their profiles if they choose. We also prescreen anyone who wishes to join, and in 16 years, have had no difficulties with bad characters attempting to join.
