When photos are uploaded to a photo gallery by members, where are the photo files located? Are they accessible by the site admin(s)?

Thanks.

I should learn to look before I leap. I just looked in the image vault and discovered a directory named "Gallery Photos"...

Thanks.

They are stored in your File Vault.

If by ACCESSIBLE, you mean VIEWABLE, yes you can view them from the File Vault, but not delete them from the File Vault.

To view the images, get to any of the content editors (Edit Site Pages, Edit Home Page, scroll down to the content editor)
Click the IMAGE icon
Click the FILE VAULT button
click the "Gallery Photos" link at the top of the page

Kyle,

I put this on mine, and it worked great; but it included a name that is not listed on my missing classmates list. I'm not sure why or how to fix this. Thanks for your ever ending help. Patsy

It's the very first classmate ....LS.

actually this one is there, too: K W (C)

The similarities are that both are GUEST MEMBERS who have never created a profile.

The one you mention is more noticeable because she doesn't have a last name, so she sorts first in the list.

It seems that the MISSING_CLASSMATE feature that shows the names in the list is not only looking at classmates, but guests, too.

Kyle,
As you said, the images are viewable but it appears that they are not available to be inserted into another page from the vault; is this correct?

Dick,

That is what I noticed. I am not sure if it is CORRECT.

I have one classmate who uploaded 100 photos to his Gallery.
Can I delete some or do I have to ask him to do that?
They are eating up a good chunk of disk space. Crying or Very sad

Usually photos don't take up that much space, so I looked around and found this:
    6237.mp3    05/26/11    1,240 KB    DELETE
    6247.mp3    05/27/11    1,240 KB    DELETE
    6261.mp3    05/31/11    1,220 KB    DELETE
    6654.mp3    06/25/11    3,718 KB    DELETE
    690.mp3    06/25/11    3,718 KB    DELETE
    9631.mp3    10/22/11    220 KB    DELETE
    9632.mp3    10/22/11    1,220 KB

I think if you got rid of the MP3 files (if you aren't using them - NOTE the Music Player WIDGET saves the MP3 files to your File Vault) then it would free up a lot of space. You can see this list on the Edit Site pages, Edit Home Page, then click the LINKS (3rd from right, 2nd row of icons), then click FILE VAULT button.

You can delete his photos through going through the Photo Gallery then the PHOTOS page of the gallery.

On your Missing Classmates HTML code, how do I center it on my Home Page?

I want to take the code out and start over, but when I go to Edit Site Pages....Home page....Source....The code is no longer there, but my home page shows the Missing Classmates. Can you just take it off, and let me start over tomorrow? Sorry to cause you extra trouble. I've tried to restore the backup, but must be doing something wrong. Patsy

Patsy,

You were still viewing the draft version. When I changed it so that it wasn't a draft, it viewed what was actually there.
