Hi Brad, I received an email notice that there was a name change for one of my classmates. The person changed the name and profile of one of my classmates and registered on the site. I also received a request for verification which of course I denied. How can I get back the original classmate's profile and how can I prevent this from happening again?

Hi Joy,

If you go to your home page and log into the site, you'll see on the right a notification that the new registration verification is awaiting your approval.

If you click on that link, and then click on the classmate's name, you will be able to review the profile information entered and at the botrtom of the page you'll see a box titled "Classmate Verification. If you select the "No" option and save changes, the profile will revert back to the original content.

You can't prevent people from attempting to register with the site as someone else, but by using the verification system you can prevent those attempts from succeeding.
