I'm sure this must have come up before but couldn't find the thread. I had a classmate ask if there is a way to highlight what was changed/added when someone updates their profile. She suggested using an asterisk or highlighting the change.

Is this something that can be written into programming or has to be done manually by the user?

On our list to discuss this, probably won't be until sometime next year. It's a good suggestion, we'll need to determine what's possible, how we're going to treat incidental edits like fixing typos, etc.
