One of my fellow committee members suggested that we not use paypal. She works for a non-profit organization and said that it is a pain and they get alot of spam because of it. I think more people would be willing to pay and register because its easier. I feel as though we can include the additonal fee in our ticket price and everything would be okay. What thoughts do you have?

We originally went without paypal because we wanted to make the cost of tix as affordable as possible. We decided to implement it a couple weeks ago and it is the best thing we did. We have received more paypal payments in the last two weeks than chqs in the mail.

Just make sure you figure in the paypal commission into each payment.

since our ticket prices were already set, we added the percentage on to the paypal price. Tix are $45, but if they pay by paypal, they are $48.

I have not received any spam since we started accepting paypal.

It is far more convenient for people to pay in this manner. At least, that is our experience since we implemented it.
