One of the main reasons some do not want to switch to Responsive design is that they have text that may result in a wide display that is not easy to read. This addresses that issue.

I don't know why CC did not offer the option to match existing "classic" style widths since it's easy to do. Matching the width of Responsive to old Classic solves the problem expressed by some that the "wide" Responsive pages can make for wide text areas.

Now you can make your displays match "Classic" AND your mobile users will see a much better appearance too.

Create a TEST site and experiment to see the result.

Add the code below on a page for testing in a Responsive Design. It will constrain your maximum page width to whatever value you enter. Classic designs are 1002 wide. This mimics that width. The two styles cover both type of design choices in Responsive.

If you want to make this apply to ALL pages, then just add that code to the page using

and
