Some of you may already know this, but for everyone else this a warning. You need to tell your members about classmates.com and why they should not be on it. You can check it out online.

I have been a member of classmates.com for over a decade. It wasn't until recently (after our reunion) that I found out it is not the same company I originally joined.

The company was sued by 7 state Attorney Generals for fraud and misrepresentation. They settled the suit by paying $9.5 million. Many of the names you see on their site have not joined the site and some are not even real classmates of yours. Much worse was the fact that they were taking people's credit cards and charging them without permission for things they did not order.

After our reunion, I found out that these things are still going on and that our classmates were not receiving messages I had sent.

If the company has your credit card information on file for automatic renewal, you need to remove it immediately.

So sorry to have to tell you about this, but this is a serious situation.
