Hi y'all. Would it possible to add another automatically generated e-mail that goes out every time I tick the box to verify someone's application? It would speed up the process for anyone, like me, who uses this method of enrolment. Thanks,

Thanks, Isn't this the same thing as "Profile Subscriptions" where classmates can sign up to know when a profile gets modified. I think that they also get an e-mail when the classmate joins if they have subscribed to him. With "Profile Subscriptions", only those classmates who want to get an e-mail will get an e-mail.

No, not the same thing, Kyle. As Site Administrator I use the system of verification for new Classmates before they have access to password protected pages rather than have all names listed so they can just register. I was getting too many idiots who weren't who they said they were. Now I add there name when they ask to register and when I get notification that they've joined the site I then have to go into their Profile and tick the box marked 'Member has been verified' at the foot of their Pofile. After I've done that I then have to send them an e-mail saying that they've been cleared and now have full access. I was hoping an automatic e-mail, generated after I tick the 'Member has been verified' box would alleviate that necessity. Mark

Add the verbiage about being cleared, etc. to your Initial Classmate Welcome Email under your Preferences area. If the New Classmate Verification feature is turned on, the welcome email doesn't go out now until you've verified the Classmate. When you do, the email sends immediately. You won't have to manually do this anymore at all. Just click the box to verify the Classmate and the email is already on its way automatically.

Does the e-mail only go out one time? If I unverify somebody after they have been verified in the past, then I verify them again, do they get another e-mail?

I know that you can't please everyone, so here are my comments.... I was/am using the "A new classmate has joined your website" e-mail subject line to send me a text message (e-mail forwarding to my cell phone) when a new classmate joined my website. I could then quickly get on the website and verify the information and mark the classmate as verified. Since now this e-mail doesn't go out until AFTER the classmate has been verified, my email forwarding is not very useful anymore. Am I confusing the "A new classmate has joined..." e-mail with the "Welcome Message" e-mail or will I still get the "A new classmate has joined your website" e-mail as soon as the Member Wizard 1 page completes?

The Admin will still get the "New Classmate has joined" message, so your text message will still work just fine. Yes, if you verify somebody, and then unverify them, and then verify them again, the New Classmate Welcome Email is going to fire again. I can't forsee that happening very often, but if it does, the person would get 2 emails.
