I thought I saw this discussed before but cannot find it now.

I would like to make an event active so classmates can follow the development of activities and start making plans to participate, but not allow them to register until all activities are made final.

Could an option be added to disable the 'Continue Registration' button? When we are ready to accept registration, we would then toggle the option to enable the button.

I just tested this on my test site and by simply unchecking the Active checkbox for the activities, I was able to turn off registration for each of my activities while leaving the Event Planner page live with all of its informational content.

Thanks for the reply. I never thought to try what you did and that will do what I wanted to accomplish.

Since my post, I thought about using custom CSS to do something with the button. I was able to hide the button altogether. Now the complete form is displayed but no one can submit the form.

problem solved, right?
