When classmates upload photos to their profile page can they size the photos, or are they always automatically sized?

If a Classmate uploads a photo to their Profile that is larger than the space available on their Profile, our system will automatically resize the image to the maximum possible size to prevent the page format from blowing out. If a Classmate uploads an image that is smaller than the maximum allowable size, our system does not adjust the photo in any way.

One of my classmates managed to upload a photo that did not automatically get resized. The image is 3931x5273 pixels, http://images.classcreator.com/galleries/4/5/0/0/0000930054/706576.jpg. Can I force it to a smaller size without deleting it? John

The original image must have been in some compression format that got past our resizer. I would 1) Right click and save the image to your own computer 2) Delete image 3) Reupload again and see if it resizes on its own this time 4) If it gets past the resizer again, resize it yourself to 500 pixels wide or so, and then upload again.

I didn't realize that I could upload to a classmate's profile - duh! Thanks for the help. I resized it myself and everything's working great. John

Great. You, the Admin, can edit absolutely everything on the site.

Anything under 685 pixels wide will work. Although 685 is pretty big on the page. 400 to 500 pixels wide makes a nice size.
