Somehow I lost the Announcement box on my Home Page. How do I activate it? I tried everything!

It's one of two things: Go to Edit Site Pages, Home Page, and make sure the Active check box for Announcements is checked. If it already is, click on Edit Announcements. The Announcements box won't show up if there's no active announcement - or there's none with a date range which includes today.

Active box is checked. Set today's date and still no announcement. I see the announcement on the edit page, but it doesn't show up on Home Page.

Any chance you can give me a simple code to add falling snow on home page? Love your trees and falling leaves of your web page.

Nancy, At the bottom of your Home Page content, you had an open Script HTML element but no closing script element. This meant that your announcement was placed inside of the script code and was basically invisible. When I deleted the stray HTML code, the announcement appeared again. John's page uses a background image of falling leaves. you can right-click on the image and save it to your computer, then upload it as a background for your home page. http://www.westside-59.com/000/5/2/1/7125/3.gif?c=341

Good catch Kyle. I couldn't see the home page source, and suggested the most obvious causes. Nancy, Jack Vermeulen has written some great scripts for animated overlays (like falling snow) to paste in a new announcement. You have to click on the Source tab and paste them there to work.
