Short URL not showing on my site pages

I created a shortened site name by purchasing a domain but when I use the short URL to get to the site, it takes me to my site but redirects back to the long URL and on pages like 'Missing Classmates', it shows the long URL and not the short one. Did I miss a step in my setup?

Hi Theresa, No you completed all of the steps. It just takes a few days for it to get verified and issued. We received it today and installed it. Jessica
