The "Reply" button is not visible unless the member is logged in. Conceptually, that is appropriate. However, I think it would be very useful to add one of two options. Either:

--Add the button, but insert a step to login first, or

--Add the verbiage "Please login to reply" with a link to the login screen.

For those of us who choose to have publicly viewable forums, there exists confusion for members who can't figure out how to reply--because they don't realize they are not logged in.

You can always tell quickly whether you are logged in or not by whether the words "MEMBER FUNCTIONS" are visible anywhere on the left side navigation area, no matter what page of the website you're viewing. Passing that along to your classmates may help with this.
