Is there a way to limit access to the navigation icons on the home page (ie. the contact/notification "envelope", the alert "bell", the account "person") to only admins, or at least limit which functions classmates can use?

Not as a CC option, but it is possible to write a script that does that. I did it for a short time on JVscripts.com when I had people log in as a guest to view only and had to disable them being able to change their profile. Then I made it open for anyone. Is there an issue with having the contact option?
