Perhaps server issues again?

Yesterday, Thursday, I created an announcement* {perhaps around 9:00-9:30AM} which I did not get the email notice of until more than 24 hours later {10:23AM today}.
Any idea why?
I do not know WHEN the announcement actually appeared on the home page, but several hours after I posted it, maybe 12 or 12:30PM, it was not visible from my personal computer.

*-created NOT from my computer, but doubt that has anything to do wit the issue.

My reply was going to be... Are your announcement notifications set to Once Daily? If so, it would not be delivered until the Once Daily script runs the following day. However I just checked and you are set to Immediately. Therefore I am going to request a reboot on the email server to see if that will improve performance.
