Can anyone tell me a website that I can make my own background?

Do you mean find a background? Making a background requires a graphics editor.

For finding a background do a Google(or whatever you like) search for 'background images'. Select something that 'tiles' or get it large enough like 1000 wide and 1000 or so tall.

Search for "tiled background images' to get ones that will mesh nicely.

With a graphics program (Iranview or Gimp, 2 free ones, Gimp has more power IMO), you can copy and paste and resize, etc to make custom variations.

It's easy to change so just experiment till you get what you like.

But I like your bulldog. We have a fat one.Wink

Hi Sherri,

In another thread, this site was shared: www.grsites.com

The thread is found HERE.

That is a very cool site - limited to geometric variations. Graphics programs can do the same thing but takes more practice.

That site could generate a basic background where he could paste the bulldog in there and make it more interesting.

Btw, you could use that site and make CC's design background a bit more interesting. I mean the gold gradient. I think Brad was mentioning a future option. Be the first in the class.

Jack,

It may be a cool site. I guess I'm just too tired or have too much input on the brain to make it work for me. Like now... yawning is a sign to shut down the computer. Just when I am getting things done!

I have Photoshop and wish I had the talent to make a background AND a logo! I need to stop long enough to learn layers for the Advanced Designs. Sigh.

I'd be happy being 10th in the class! Placing a Idea behind your suggestion. Thanks!

Try http://www.heathersanimations.com. I've found some great backgrounds there.

One of your 'better' photo editing programs will allow you to combine pictures, crop, edit, add wording and shapes; colors , effects etc. (#1) PhotoShop, PhotoShop Elements and a number of others out there. Some are actually free on the net.
