Event Planner Registrations Additions

Is there an easy way for an alumni who has already registered to go back into their registration to purchase a product? This was easy in the reunion planner but is not so much in the Event Planner.

Some of our alumni register for the reunion, then want to go back and buy a t-shirt or pay their dues if they didn't do it initially. To do this in the Event Planner, it seems they have to go in and select the Event again to Continue, but they have already selected the Event in the first session. We tried to get around this by adding an Event named "Purchase t-shirt/pay dues" but we had to make in FREE and that has really confused our alumni -- and us. We also tried to tell alumni to select one of the events and zero out the QTY so they won't be prompted to pay Event fees again at checkout.

We don't like either solution - is there a better way that we just didn't think of?

You could try using the Product Manager - set it up to sell t-shirts. Then have a link to the "Store" where they can purchase those things (Dues, T-shirts, etc.)

Thanks for your response. We set up the t-shirts and dues as products in the Product Manager and added them to the Event Planner so there would be a one stop shop for the reunion orders. If there isn't a better way than the workaround we try to use in the Event Planner then we will have to do something different.

We do have a store set up too for non-reunion years.Is there a place that shows me how to link the products to the store? I think we looked at this when we were having problems with the Event Planner but we didn't have time in all the rush of getting orders in for our reunion to make it work.

If you go to your Product Manager, you can also choose to show the T-Shirt items on your store page. Currently, the only things in your store page are "ZAA Membership Dues - 2016" and "ZAA Membership Dues - Future Years".
