Just finished my site and registered my domain name. Does google allow a search of my site? I tried and wasn't successful. Not too savy on web lingo so any help is helpful. Thanks.

Yes, Google will index (search) your site sooner or later. It's done automatically by their web crawler. You don't have to do anything. When I search for our class web site, it is the #1 result. You'll be able to put in classmate names, and they can be found in Google.

See this FAQ section, http://www.classcreator.com/faqs.html#Promoting. It will get your site indexed by the search engines much faster than waiting for their bots to find you.

Bill,

I visited your site and love what you've done. I especially like the color tables w/borders that you have. How did you get the color table in your announcement box and home page? It looks so nice!

Thanks, Gini.

The extra formating on the anouncements, etc. is done by direct editing in the Source view, I doubt that it could be duplicated from the Edit view. It's all just tables and a little CSS formatting, stuff I already knew how to do.
