Has anyone posted any type of liability waiver on their site protecting the committee from being sued if someone gets hurt?

If they get hurt while on your site then they're doing something wrong! LOL! I doubt that they can hold you responsible for a wrist injury....

We're holding a reunion for 2000+ people at a large conference centre. $3,000,000 worth of liability insurance is gonna run us $800, covering us from 4 p.m. to 2 a.m. Sourced from our personal insurance company.

liability waiver.doc

thanks,
We have looked into the insurance. We were hoping that since the venue, caterer, beverage company will all have insurance the chance of someone suing the committee personally is slim. That being said, since it is still a chance we are posting a waiver on the web site and when they register for the reunion they will have to click on the button that they agree to the terms of said waiver. We are also having a copy at the venue and going to have everyone initial the registration spreadsheet before being let inside.
Here is a copy of what we are looking at posting.

Thanks Kelly

Maybe our insurance company will cut the premium if this is agreed to by the guests as part of their registration.
