Why is it when I scroll one of my site pages up and down the background image moves up and down with it; however, the exact same background image on another Class Creator site does not move when scrolling the CC site page up and down?

If you want the background image to NOT be fixed, add this code to the SOURCE of the page.

Thanks, that's good to know. Is there a way to add the code just once to make it fixed for every page or do I need to add it to every page individually? And I'm assuming that once it's added, it will apply to whatever background image I have? Thanks so much! I love learning new things on CC.

If you are the ROOT Admin, you can add it to the GOOGLE ANALYTICS section under Preferences. That code is inserted on every page, so it will force whatever background you have on each page to be fixed.

This got me thinking about a previous request I made to "stretch" the background image, which isn't possible. But I do see that it is possible to position the background image and control whether it repeats or not. So what would be the X position for the CC template? And, confirm this for me, please -- these actions are only recognized by MS IE? Not FF, Chrome or other browsers? And the template for these Forums has the content centered on the screen -- while the CC templates are all left- aligned. Is that something we users can control?

![]() There is no "X position" on ours, it just centers. You're correct though, you can set your background image to not scroll with the rest of the page if desired. This is a "code thing" which I know you're currently studying. There's all kinds of litle under-the-hood things you can do if you know code. All major browsers suppot CSS positining and non scrolling background images, etc. That's pretty standard these days. Nope, you can't control centering with any of the existing designs, that's an option we'll add on all upcoming designs though.
