Before importing the .csv file with all classmates, I would like to know if it's possible to allow only admins to "see" the site while we work to complete building it. It is possible after import I may need to reset and import again. My understanding is that if a classmate updates their profile, re-import will not be possible.
Can someone tell me how it is possible to limit access after adding classmates until we are ready for the site to be live?

If you go to Edit Site Pages > Home Page > Edit Link you can set it to logged in only which will make it so that only those who are logged into the site can access the home page. If you do this for the Classmate Profiles and Missing Classmates pages as well there is no way to join. I would remove that requirement on all 3 pages once you are ready to launch the page.

If you restrict both the Classmate Profiles and the Missing Classmates page, the system will advise you to create a system password - which would be the only way new members could log in and see their name to join. You could give that system password out to a few you want to help test while you're building the site. You can always delete the system password when you're ready to go live and open up the pages you had restricted.
