Still waiting for a mass email

Happy Holidays Class Creator staff.

I'm curious as I sent out a mass email about 10 pm Friday night, and updated my homepage, but as noon Saturday I have not received the mass email nor the standard notice that our homepage was updated.

Are things running behind because of the holidays??

I am having similar failures re Class Creator sending notices. Sorry for the length of the following.

On December 11, a typical birthday notice for 3 people was delivered by Class Creator, as usual. Since then, 5 birthdays, from December 13, through December 16, have occurred. No notices have been sent. Nine more birthdays will occur by the end of the year. Notices?

In addition, on each evening of Chanukah (December 7-14), I made changes to the Homepage. The last notice of a change was sent on December 11. No notices of changes were sent for any of the ensuing 4 nights.

There's more, but I'll end this by saying Christmas-related changes have been planned, but why make them if nobody knows they're there?

Between December 11 and yesterday, December 18, about 50% of our Club members were receiving group emails. Most not getting them have"gmail" accounts, and my emails, (COX) are all going to SPAM. As of today, only 35% of my group viewed sent group emails--our members do at least take a look; so this suggests things are getting worse.

Am I right in saying we haven't gotten any information about what is happening or what is being done to correct this issue?

We are checking into gmail questions.

Although this is not site wide it is clearly happening to more than one person.

Can you all please check your spam / junk and promotions folders. I checked with gmail and we are not blocked. They did report that they saw some emails marked test only or with just a few words and that they are no longer accepting messages like that. Are you sending something that resembles a full email or just the words test?

We have a gmail verification DNS entry that has been approved/verified for years - I tested that verification and it is still in place and said I could not add it again because we are already verified.

We will continue to monitor this and submit to them that this is still occurring for several users.

Wow! My members are starting to get really impatient as so many important things are sent to them at the end of the month and year. I created a space on our website into which I am copying missed emails so more of our group members now know to check trash and Spam and can, at least, read the emails if someone tells them to look. While mine from Class Creator on Cox are still going into Spam even after I put the address into "contacts", the gmails don't seem to be going anywhere discernible.

My sent texts are full length so that is not an issue.

I sure hope you can figure out what's going on because I am rather at wit's end!

Hi Gail and others on this post,

We are working with gmail to try to track down an issue that may be happening within their system. We are a verified sender with gmail and verfied we were still verified.

They are having us send some specific tests to their system. and tracking it as it goes through their system to try to determine what is happening. Please give me some time to work with them to see if there is anything on that end they can do to help us resolve this. I have listed all of your gmail address as some of the addresses that are not receiving all gmail emails. They said the tests take 24-48 hours but they have already been in contact with me to try some new tests.

I have a gmail account. Beginning the 11th, I haven't received notices/emails from my site. I sent a test email from email the class to me. I think all it said was "test" and I never got it. I deleted it, so I can't be absolutely sure I typed test, but I'm sure there was only 1 word. There are no relevant emails in my SPAM folder. I'm in the process of contacting non-gmail friends to ascertain their experiences. I will report the responses I get. Let me know if I should NOT do the following, but I think I'm going to add a second, non-gmail account to my profile and see what happens.

p.s. I sent an email the class to two of my email addresses, one of which is not gmail. It arrived at neither.

Hi Berry and Gwen,

I've already included your emails in the emails I would like Google to check into. They think this is related to testing on their end for some additional requirements they are considering. They are suppose to report back to me within the next 24 hours if they are removing those requirements or if they are providing me with the items they would like us to add. We are already verified with gmail and have google/gmail verification details in our DNS. This should be enough but if they are making changes we need to know what they are so we can make sure we are fully complying with them. We were not notified of testing/changes and from what I've seen in their responses we were not supposed to be included in those. We'll keep working with them until this is resolved either way.

This could be some sort of traffic coding issue at CC. John Ralph and I have been exploring this a bit.

I have a "commercial" Gmail account. IOW, it is gmail but has my own domain name - sbsoftware.com

I also have a standard Gmail account that is gmail.com

I sent the same message to both of those using two different profiles at the exact same time.

My sbsoftware account received it instantly at around 3:37 Pacific time.
The Gmail account still has nothing after 4 hours.

So don't think it has anything to do with Gmail but the sending side.

[ps msg contents: "A lot longer email to both sbs and gail" although I also did just "test" with the same result"]

I sent a TEST email from TAP to two of my addresses:
- I did NOT receive the test at TAPgwen@gmail.com.
- I received it immediately at info@mchenryalumni.com (OUTLOOK email).

Then I sent an email from TAP on 12/21/23 02:58 AM.

Since December 12, my notifications have mainly gone unread. I have two addresses and I get nothing on my Gmail address.

I know you're on top of this problem. I want to give you another fact. My co-sysop uses "me.com" as his email address. He told me that he got all the notices I asked him about (birthdays and page changes). By the way, a couple of days ago I used Email the Class to send an email to my gmail account and to another, non-gmail account. This other account is not listed in my profile and I explained not getting the email for that reason. Let me know if you'd like me to retry that experiment after adding the other address to my profile.

Thought you'd like to know. This morning I got an email notice that one of my classmates has a birthday today. A few minutes ago, 5-10 minutes after I sent it, I got a test email-the-class email. Now I'm keeping my fingers crossed that a real email-the-class goes to where it's supposed to go. I'm confident tho!

Things are going much smoother today. Maybe give it a day to test. They told us 24 to 48 hours in their last response today.
