One True Media is a site I am using to create video for our site. They support mp3 music file format and not wma so I need to convert these to mp3. What's the best FREE software I can download from the Internet?

I think I have answered my own question with a little research. Downloading "Switch" sound file converter seems to have worked for me! The following site helped me with with the "How to" - http://www.askdavetaylor.com/convert_wma_from_windows_media_player_into_mp3_files.html

If you only have a few to convert, you might want to try the free online conversion tool at http://media-convert.com/.

You could also download Free Audio Converter, that works well for me. The same web site has other nice free conversions tools for video, etc., you can get them all in one package at http://www.dvdvideosoft.com/free-dvd-video-software.htm, "Free Studio".

Hi Ginger,

The free version of the wma to mp3 converter is called Switch and can be downloaded at http://www.nch.com.au/switch/.

Dave's site does a nice job of explaining some of the options.
The free switch program wont convert copyprotected wma files.

The default setting for switch will convert your wma files at a encoding rate of 128kbps.

If you have good quality wma source files , you might be happier with the sound quality of the results if you change the Switch encoding settings to 320kbps.
