Brad, I recently received this email from CC. I did not respond to it. I thought you might like to see it. I don't know how they got my email address.

You didn't paste the email so I'm not sure exactly what you're referring to, but if it has an IP address in the email it's just somebody who filled out your site's public "Contact Us" form. They don't have your email address. It's not uncommon for people to attempt to send spam or unwanted email through that form. We do filter for spam there but due to also needing to ensure real emails get through, the spam filtering doesn't catch everything. Just delete it.

If you bought the domain name it was probably through that. A search on Whois will give e-mail and address information. Are you sure the e-mail was from CC?

My Domain name was purchased through Network Solutions.
This sounds like someone has tapped into my CC mail somehow.

I sent you the information I found at Whois via e-mail. Does that help solve the mystery?

Jimmy,

All one has to do is GOOGLE "Harding Rams" or even "Harding High School" and stand back. You're all over the place. Logo and all.

Also on your home page your Elvis Playlist has lots of broken links that you might want to remove/replace.

Louise,

I know Brad will reply to you, but you may not remember (or know) that Classnames.net is the Registrar for your Domain name "jcjc1955.com" and ClassCreator is your host for that domain name. Two separate companies, two separate bills.

BTW, this may be something that is "unwanted"Twisted Evil but you should NOT ignore it, or you will definitely be SOL come the 20th of this month. (Meaning you will lose all your hard work and we won't even have a chance to say wish you well.)

Please look at your attachment. See the IP Address listed there? The only time you'll ever see an IP address is when the email is just your public Contact Us page being submitted. Nobody has your email address. You can always password protect your Contact Us page if you want to ensure you never get another email like this but I'd strongly recommend against it. You want real email to be available through this form. Just delete it, there's no harm here other than somebody got a solicitation past the spam filter.

Louise, your email is real, and it's really about your domain name nearing expiration. You should log into your account at www.ClassNames.net and renew your domain name.
