You can upload a PDF document and then link to it. Go into edit mode on any page of the site that has an editor option, click the chain link icon, and then click the Upload tab to upload your PDF. Note the resulting file path so you can then link to it.

What image exactly? If you want an image to link to a PDF file, you'd just first click the image so it's selected, then click your chain link icon, and then paste in your link to the PDF file.

(1) There appears to be a bug in the file upload. If I highlight some text, click the globe/chain button, upload the file and click OK and then save the page, the link becomes just . I can go back and edit it to be and then it works. (2) Can I find and delete any of these files? When the link broke, I uploaded the file a second time and instead of overwriting, it renamed the new one adding "(2)". Being a little anal about clean directories, I looked for a way to delete that dupe but didn't find it.

Hi Tom, I tested the link and it worked for me with the full link code being created by the system. I'm not sure what happened when you tried to add that. We'll be launching file library soon so you will have more control over uploaded files shortly.

Microsoft Word - Class of 1984.pdf
Hi, I am also trying to link to a pdf file. I had it working with just the link text, but when I tried to link to an image everything got messed up and now it doesn't work at all. Would you please help me find out what I did wrong and fix it? I've attached the image and the file I am working with. Thank you! Karen

Hi Karen, I see a note above the image saying the link doesn't work but when I click on the image it does take me to your form. Did you get this working and forget to remove your note?

Brad, I followed these steps and the uploaded PDF files are not working? 1) Go into edit mode for any page 2) Click the chain link icon on your editor toolbar 3) Click the File Vault button and upload your PDF file 4) Click insert to insert a link onto your page. Could you look and see what I am doing wrong? I posted it on my "Home Page" as well as, my "Stories from the Val Page" If you follow the following link it will take you to the last copy of the Viking Voice! 000/4/6/2/9264/userfiles/file/Viking_Voice_6-11-70.pdf

The only PDF file you've ever uploaded to your File Vault is Viking Voice. Thus for now that's the only one you could possibly be inserting. Make sure when you go into File Vault you don't forget the part about actually uploading your new PDF file to your site. If you only click on the one that's already in there, you're always going to get a link to Viking Voice.
