I have done this many, many times but for some reason something I did this time was wrong. What is wrong with scenario:
1-Add a new page under Edit Site Pages.
2-Give it a Link Label of 2019 Luncheons and make it active.
3-Move it down the page order to be a sub page under Photo Gallery.
4-Under Photo Gallery create a Navigation Link with a Link Name of 2019 Luncheons.
5-Create a New Gallery named January within link 2019 Luncheons.
6-Upload one photo, add comments, make it cover photo, and check it.
7-Make both Link and Gallery active.

When I go to Photo Gallery and select 2019 Luncheons nothing happens.
The one difference I see from previous times is that the page 2019 Luncheons under Edit Site Pages does not have a Preview button, only edit link and edit page buttons.

What did I miss?

You started in the wrong place. Delete your page that you created in Edit Site Pages, then do the following...

Admin Functions > Gallery Creator > Add New Navigation Link (Top Left Button ...this will create your page) > Create New Photo Gallery (Top Right Button ... this will create the gallery for the photos to be added) ... be sure to select the new page under Within Page for the gallery to appear. Now you can go back to Edit Site Pages to move the location of the page in the navigation order.

Scott,
I deleted the page from the edit Site Pages, then I deleted the old Gallery and Navigation Link. The I followed your instructions-- Create New Navigation Link, Create New Photo Gallery and uploaded one photo. Then I created a new Site Page and moved it under the Photo Gallery Site Page. Every thing was flagged as active.
Selecting that page from the Photo Gallery pop out again does nothing. So I uploaded a second photo. Viewing the Gallery from the Gallery Creator sows both photos but viewing the Navigation Link sows both photos also, not a Gallery that contains 2 Photos.
Could this have something to do with Responsive Design?

Earl, if I read your post correctly, the last step you took - create a new Site Page - is not needed. The gallery itself creates the navigation link.

Look at your prior galleries and you'll see that they point to

(yoursite)/class_gallery.cfm?gallery_link_id=25738

the link_id changes for each one. That's the actual gallery. You do not need another link. What you have now is an empty reference.

So delete that and just make the gallery active. That's the one in Gallery Creator -not Edit Site pages. It's a bit confusing because the new system was added later.

I'm not sure of the gallery data, but if you post a shot of your Gallery Creator list it will be easier to figure out. Scott can look directly and verify here.

Jack,
I guess I don't know how the site software is organized and how to see the source code for any module.
Two things, How do I look at prior galleries to see the link?
And,, what do you mean 'post s shot of your Gallery Creator list'?
Anyone can go to sigma-excels.net and see most of the site, although there are a few areas protected for members only.
Under the main Photo Gallery link there is a pop out that lists all the navigation links that hold galleries of each month.
Does this make sense?

When I hover over the main Photo Gallery link popouts on Firefox it shows the link references on the lower left.

Safari is no longer supported for Windows, so I don't know how that works there. I think Firefox also works on IOS now. Use this link to install FIREFOX for IOS

Post a screenshot: take a picture of the Gallery Creator page with all the various galleries. Then I can see what you have there.

Firefox has a built-in screen shot system. If you right click on a page (not on something that also has a popup) it gives you the option to "Take a Screenshot". You can crop and save it. Pretty cool. I think Chrome might have something similar but it's not as simple.

And for Safari I found this:

Capture a selected portion of the screen

Press Shift-Command-4.

Drag to select the area of the screen to capture. To move the entire selection, press and hold Space bar while dragging.

After you release your mouse or trackpad button, find the screenshot as a .png file on your desktop.

Finally decoded (I think) the error. You said "Then I created a new Site Page and moved it under the Photo Gallery Site Page."

What Scott meant by "be sure to select the new page under Within Page for the gallery to appear" applies to Gallery Creator page, not edit site pages. You need ONE entry under the main "Gallery Link" there to show the photos.

I came to my senses and see the link to each gallery--it's simply the url of the page. WOW,I'm not sure I am qualified to be an administrator anymore.
I did know what Scott was saying about creating a gallery 'Within Page'. I have alway done that. What I don't understand is how the page link created with Edit Site Pages points to my 2019 Luncheons Navigation Link.
I had no problems since I started these Navigation links and Galleries in 2016 until this 2019 Luncheons Navigation link and it's January Gallery.

Jack,
I'm familiar with the Mac Cmd-Shift-4 and use it frequently, but this time after I got the Desktop file I couldn't get it to attach to the reply.
Selected Attach, Choose file, Open and it looked like normal except I didn't see it anywhere on/in the reply.

Jack, Scott,
I just noticed that a Site Page was generated somewhere along the way when I deleted everything and started new again. At the end I created a Site Page and placed it in the Photo Gallery pop out. This naturally gave me what I had seen the previous four times I tried to recreate the Navigation Link and Gallery.
HOWEVER; looking at the site on Class Connection I noticed a Site Page that I did not create myself. It was at the bottom of all Site Pages. I just deleted the one I created and moved the one the Gallery Creator must have created up to the pop out space. Things now work as I expected.
Something must have changed because from 2016 until this month, I created the Site Page for the Navigation Link and it worked as I expected.

I honestly don't know what to say.... "Something must have changed because from 2016 until this month, I created the Site Page for the Navigation Link and it worked as I expected." ... The way I described the process above is exactly how the system has worked in the almost 9 years I have been here... or at least in the last 8 since the Edit Site Pages part of the system was released during the first year that I was here.

But I'm glad that now... "Things now work as I expected."

Thanks

I just made a "test" gallery and it works like it used to. So probably a step was missed without realizing it. Or a browser cache got involved. That's happened to me few times where I had to refresh the page.
