It seems that certain words in my home page are now hijacked and linked to commercial ads. Re copying them doesnt change this. How can I get rid of these hi-jacked links.

Take your computer to a service technician who can remove the software that is causing it.

It is not my software. There is no malware, phsishing,, or other problems. . As I have 3 protection software on my system and none have come up with educational hi-jacked links. Since these are all educational links, I suggest perhaps its in your mechanics.

IT IS MALWARE. Try running malwarebytes.org . It should remove it. Your other classmates aren't seeing the highlighted links. When I visited your site, I didn't see any highlighted links (except the ones that are supposed to be).

Maybe it would help here (so we can check your code) if you tell us where the underlined words are and what words are underlined. You could also try a different browser to see if they are underlined in that browser. If you have a different machine, you could also try it there and see if you see the same problem.
