Hey Brad and Gang, How do I know if a CC payment has been rejected? One of our classmates said he entered his address in incorrectly (put NC instead of SC). Will this cause his CC pymt to be rejected or will it still go through? If I receive an email about the credit card payment, does that mean the CC pymt was valid?

Yes. A charge either goes through or it doesn't, and it will be very clear to the user whether it was accepted or declined. Your receipt will not issue if the charge was declined, so yes, if you received a receipt, the charge went through despite the incorrect address info provided.

And in case you're wondering why they were able to successfully use the card with an incorrect billing address... Credit card validation typically cares more about the zip code - and sometimes the house number in the street address - than it does about any of the text that's typed in, so even though they put in the wrong state, it doesn't matter all that much to the credit card company.
